It smelled a bit fruity and sweet with some hints of banana. So my first thought was dunkel weissbier. The taste was a bit weak with hints of smoked ham. Was pretty nice and I hope I was right about the beer type. Maybe Chrille can confirm?

Hi!
ReplyDeleteIt was a personal version of a Weizenbock. Wheatmalt, pilsnermalt and carahell is the malt base and its 7,1 % alc.

Aha, very tricky. Well at least we got the wheat part right. Gotta admit I didn't expect 7,1% on that one. The alcohol was well hidden :)
ReplyDeleteCan I have one of these as well?
ReplyDeleteStefan: I now, its a special brew. The thing is that I boiled it in a boiler i never used before, so I calculated the boil off wrong. So when I measured it and discovered that it was to strong I didnt had the time to calculate how much water I needed to make it right, so it ended upp strong.
ReplyDeleteBut it was a cool experiment!

Kursat: Its a homebrew I made for a while ago. I have a couple of bottles left, so if your in Sweden in the nere future I can give you one!
ReplyDeleteChrille: I agree a very cool experiement. Don't think Ive tried a wheat bock before. It's gonna be interesting to see what you can cook up in the future ;)
ReplyDeleteStefan: I hope I will have the time to experiment more in the future. I can tell you that I have about 10 recipies that I want to brew!
ReplyDeleteI give you some bottles when I get one done!
